Vicki and Jim D were treated to a full moon rising
over the Sierras as they drove up Friday night

Saturday morning found Jim D, Vicki with their son JD and Granddaughter Stasha, Al & Kathy, Richard and Jim L, Tom and prospective member Tim at the Gold Lake campsite

We drove from Gold Lake down Gold Lake Highway to Sardine Lakes.

Richard and Jim L scouted a trail our of Sardine Lake,

while the rest of us followed the paved road to Packer Saddle.

We drove south along the Sierra Buttes Trail. We stopped for lunch at a spot Tom and Al had picked out on their scouting trip. There were trails leading off in different directions, just waiting to be explored.
